Macquarie Credit Union Ltd is a member-owned financial institution headquartered in Dubbo, a city in the Orana Region of New South Wales. The company's products and services include savings and term deposit accounts, home and investment property loans, personal and car loans, Visa debit cards, low interest rate credit cards, overdraft, telephone and internet banking as well as multi-currency cash passport card, traveller’s cheques and foreign exchange. It also offers car, home building, contents, landlords and travel insurance services through CGU Insurance Ltd. Additionally, it offers financial advice through Bridges, one of Australia’s largest financial planning and stockbroking groups and the highly respected wealth management business. The Credit Union was founded in December 1964 by electricity workers. In 1974, 1980 and 2003, it merged with the Dubbo Municipal Council Employees, Warren Shire Council Employees and Dubbo Post-Tel credit unions, respectively. As at 30 June 2021, Macquarie Credit Union reported total assets of $124 million, loans of $95 million, deposits of $108 million, total equity of $14 million, and more than 6,000 members.
