The Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Ltd (ANZ), headquartered in Melbourne, is the second largest bank in Australia by total assets and the fourth largest by market capitalization. It is also the biggest banking group in New Zealand. The company provides a comprehensive range of products and services for personal, business and corporate customers including savings and transaction accounts, term deposits, personal and home loans, internet and mobile banking, foreign exchange, Visa debit cards; low fee, low rate and rewards credit cards, international payments as well as home, life, mortgage, travel and car insurance. It also offers business loans and business accounts, business insurance, merchant services, investment and private banking, corporate and institutional banking and other services. ANZ employs about 40,000 people and serves more than 10 million customers worldwide including the Asia Pacific region, Europe, the Middle East and the United States. As of September 30, 2023, the Group had A$1.1 trillion in total assets, A$707 billion in net loans, A$815 billion in deposits and A$70 billion in shareholders' equity. ANZ shares are traded on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and the New Zealand Exchange (NZX).
